Well, hello there! It’s been awhile since I last posted a blog about – us. Actually, for me, blogging is a way i can express myself as well get myself away from work (at least when I am done with most agenda for the day). Not forgetting, to record and make memories of our journey together.
Anyways, we applied for BTO (under SBF) in November 2015. We were kinda disappointed that we didn’t manage to the BTO Application in Tampines months before applying for SBF. So, this time we tried again, somewhere nearer to my parents place. Maybe ada ‘hikmah’ disebaliknya, cos our ballot number is pretty small for that matter. Guess what – the BTO project will be ready by September 2018 (or even earlier, most of the time).
But, our plan, after marriage is to save up enough for us to renovate the house properly to suit our needs. So, perhaps we might not even rush to move into the new house (if all goes smoothly, insya’allah). Perhaps we might just stay at his place on weekdays and come over to my parents place on weekends until we finally think we are ready (financially) to pay off all renovation cost in one lump sum. We are not intending to take bank loan for home renovations, hence we need about a year after marriage to save up enough to beautify our ‘home’. After all, Irman and myself will most likely be staying at this place for as long as we can! After all, gahmen gonna built a new MRT station nearby, all the more we should be happy with the location! Not forgetting, I can literally jog about 15 minutes to my parents place/ ride about 3 mins lor. So, I guess this is it. We should take this opportunity.
So, last weekend, we went to survey more about the units available, and well recce more about the view we might be spending our entire life looking at. We truly like the project (except for the window) and are thrilled for June 2016 to finally arrive cos – that’s when we can finally choose the unit we eyeing on! We are banging on 128A #12-512. It has a view of a huge junction, direct sunlight, not too near to another block, high floor, near Aisyah and Fit, near new MRT, near my parents place, near my workplace, Irman prolly will take abt 30 mins now for travelling since he doesnt have to take bus back from MRT station… I guess all these good points make up for the ‘issue about the window’. We not very keen on the window because it is a 2 by 2 by 2 panels for the hall. Of course, I would prefer the 4 by 3 panels. But this project doesnt have such ideal window panels. So we might need to engage an ID that can somehow make us feel happier and content with the 2 by 2 by 2 panels… Meanwhile, here’s a sneak peak of the BTO we looking at! It is almost ready for its future tenants too! OMGEE!
With that, June, please come faster!
