Planning Stages for our Road Trip to…
#irmanadz is back… hmm, it’s more of like I have some time to spare on a Wednesday night after work to just do some recollections 🙂
Truth be told, I (or we) am looking forward to our road trip this time. For once, Nadz decides to give self-drive a try 🙂 The planning itself was quite fun (although fairly tiring cos need to research, liase, stick to budget, book and the list perhaps wont end lor). Initially, it was Irman’s job and responsibility to plan the whole trip because I truly think he has the experience to do so. But in the end, i meddled with the whole planning and came out with most of it. But credit goes to Irman too for always being so ever-patient with me because somedays i am so tired of the planning!
He ever warned me “I don’t want you to plan the itinerary”. Of course I asked why. He replied, “Later if the day didn’t go according to plan, you get pissed off.”
Hmmm, he is right about that. That’s why I am always touring rather than road-tripping. So, there you go, my biggest fear for this trip is definitely that. Did he hit the bulls eye? Yes he did. That’s why I am a teacher right? I always have the control over time? I plan my day – Â from the moment I wake up to the moment I sleep. Even before I sleep, I already have my day ahead planned out. So, of course when things don’t go according to plan – Â I get upset. Okay, maybe I need to chill a little bit.
I only decided to plan the trip only cos I think it would be great to know what is in store for us on that day. Rather than I leave it to him to decide. Two brains are better than one right? Plus, planning a trip will get easier in years to come. So, better practice now then never at all.
Enough about why I decided to plan.
So, we already booked our flight tickets, ferry tickets, and car rental.
All we have to look into is booking of all the accommodations, convert to international driving license, some shopping and the thrilling activities (we need insurance for that too)! Not forgetting to get ourselves trim and fit to climb some of the mountains. We hope to do that!
The most expensive accommodation we are looking into ending our road trip is at this venue overlooking the starry sky 🙂 That is the closest I can get to enjoy the night in the open! Am truly thrilled to end the whole trip at this place! Ermm, but provided we get to ‘chop’ the place fast enough! The date we currently wanted to book is already taken! Boohoo! We shall wait and see!
More planning to do, but for now – Â I wanna sleep. And this weekend, we are going to shop and shop for any necessities for hiking up some of the mountains! Did I mention we wanna stay up on one of the night on a mountain in the cold??! I hope we survive the chilly night!
