#5: We had guests!

For this dish, we had his father and another guest to try and comment. Nuff said, someone had three servings in one go. Mission accomplished! This dish is one of my favourite dishes. Anything ‘lemak cili padi’ is definitely on my favourite list. We had some difficulties as we cooked this dish. From the spicyness (kept on adding more cili padi) and the creamy taste (I kinda put too much coconut milk, yes, again). The moment we put in the crab, the gravy tasted sweeter and very close to the taste we were aiming for! The outcome was… worth it! Job well done #irmanadzcooks.

Ketam/Udang/Ayam Masak Lemak Cili Padi

  • Tumeric Leaves/ Daun Kunyit
  • 2 packet of coconut milk/ santan
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 asam keping [this is another ingredient that we need to always control]
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Chicken/ Crab/ Prawn
  • Potato (sliced)

Blended Ingredients:

  1. 5 red chilies
  2. 5 chili padi
  3. 1 lemongrass
  4. 5 garlic/ bawang putih
  5. 1 bawang besar
  6. 3 slices of ginger/ halia
  7. 5 candlenuts / buah keras
  8. 3 cm of turmeric/ serbuk kunyit
