#12: Run and our first time cooking for guests!
Yes I mean it, this time (with the help of Nana) we managed to cook for guests! They are Firdaus Hassan (Irman’s cousin) and his fiancé (Nur Syafiqah) and Nana’s next block neighbour! In all, we have Nana, Fawzy, 4Ns, Irwan, Cik Karim, Firdaus, Syafiqah, 3 Neighbours, Irman and myself. Thats a total of 15! Wowsie.
Honestly, we were kinda terrified to be cooking for guests, i mean “everything that can go wrong, will go wrong!”
So we (Nana, Fawzy, Irman and myself) went for a run at ECP. I must say that Fawzy ran pretty fast seh, hard to catch up with him. Although we managed to, but i am so afraid i might have heart palpitations! Chey mcm faham! So after the run, we head over to pasar Geylang and get all the ingredients for tonight’s dinner. We decided to go for Western today 🙂 Irman and myself will be doing the rolled up chicken thighs w cheese whereas Nana did the salad and aglio olio spaghetti!
Ingredients:
Chicken thighs (cut thinly and gently flatten)
Salt
Pepper (Brown and White)
Oregano leaves
Tomato
Mozzarella Cheese (be generous here)
Parmesan Cheese (if you wanna)
*Roll them up
Flour (as coating)
*Coat it with flour
Eggs w Milk (to create egg wash)
*Dip into egg wash
Breadcrumbs
*Roll into breadcrumbs
*Heat pan with oil
*Fry the rolled-up chicken thighs and put it in the oven for another 15 minutes or so
Happiness is when you see the cheese oozes out as you fry them!
The guests loved it especially the rolled-up chicken thighs with cheese! They keep on complimenting how nice it was. They even invited us to come over their place to cook for them as well as babysit their kids, wah banyak cantik?!? Hehe. Thumbs-up to #irmanadz!
Actually, thank you big time to Nana for allowing us to cook at her kitchen all this while. We really appreciate it! If not for her kitchen, me and Irman won’t discover our unique yet chillax ‘date’; that is to cook and eat every weekend (on our less peak periods la). So, as a whole, we all did great for dinner!
So thats about it for #irmanadzcooks journey for now. It’s gonna be fasting month tmr, so we might not be able to cook that often. We will have plans soon, to cook for iftar and invite Aisyah Fithrin and Adyan. Insyallah 🙂
And in case you didn’t know already; I love cooking with Irman, we learn more about one another as we cook, we communicate and most importantly we share memories that will stay with us till the end of time. I love you baby, to the moon and back!
